How long have you been in business?
I began my practice in 2003.
What is your primary product or service?
I am a Diplomate Board Certified Orthodontist, which means I specialize in straightening teeth. To become an Orthodontist after dental school, you must attend a post doctorate for two extra years focusing on the specialty. To become Board Certified you present finished cases to a group of peers for their approval of your work, it is an honor to receive the accreditation. I also am an Elite level provider of Invisalign which has become a large part of my practice.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
My father was a dentist right here in Northern Virginia so I grew up with his example.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
My roots run deep here, watching my father become a part of his community through his dental work inspired me to do the same. My patients and their families become a part of our orthodontic family. Besides offering state of the art technology and a beautiful new renovated office, which I am so happy to have, the most important thing I offer is a caring staff who wants you to feel a part of the orthodontic journey. Communication is a key part of that and we welcome our parents into the clinical area to interact with my team and myself.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
I only plan on having the one location, I expanded its size to make it the best possible for my patients and their families while they wait.

The office is located very close to Irving Middle School and West Springfield High School. Old Keene Mill and Rolling Road are the main cross streets, we are located behind the Giant Shopping Center on Traford Lane.
What type of payments do you accept?
We work with many insurances and prepare a personal payment plan for your treatment.
Which areas do you service?
Springfield, Burke, Lorton, Fairfax Station, Kingstowne, Annandale, Alexandria & Falls Church.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
I own my practice, David Hughes Orthodontics LLC.
What are your hours of operation?
7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
Here is a perfect example which came in a Thank You card today..."Thank you so much for my beautiful teeth! I came to your office over a year ago with little confidence in my smile and I still cannot believe the results from Invisalign! Your expertise, care and help from your team have truly made the difference for me. I just wanted to send over a big thank you!"
