How long have you been in business?
Dr. Grieco started practicing dentistry in 1982 and has been at our Chain Bridge Road location since 1994.

Welcome to Gentle Dental Care of Northern Virginia, a leading family dental care practice in Fairfax, Virginia. We understand the importance of good dental hygiene and oral care and are committed to providing you the best care in a fun, pleasant environment.
From common problems to gum disease, we provide an array of dental services to meet your needs all in one convenient location. Using the latest technology, our experienced staff works together as a team to give you exceptional quality treatment from the moment you walk in for your initial visit.
We understand the importance of caring for your teeth and gums, and we are committed to providing you with a peaceful and pleasant dental experience.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Dr. Grieco’s interest in becoming a dentist was due to the influence of his family dentist, Dr. Richard Cowan, in Redondo Beach, California. While attending UCLA, Dr. Grieco had the opportunity to work in the Los Angeles Free Clinic as a dental assistant. Dr. Grieco saw first hand that the dentist was able to relieve discomfort almost immediately. As a result, “I never viewed the dentist as one who causes pain, but rather, as one who alleviates it.” In 1994, Dr. Grieco opened his own practice in Fairfax City. Since that time, there have been dramatic changes in materials and techniques available to dentistry. For his pursuit of continuing education, Dr. Grieco was made a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) in 2004. Although Dr. Grieco always strives to utilize the latest expertise and technology for his patients, he also wishes to be known for his compassionate care and gentle touch.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Our patients really matter to us. Most become like friends and family. Here is what one patient said, Beatrice M. "This was like being invited into your home not a medical facility." We help our patients get a smile that makes them smile!
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We have one office conveniently located just off of 50 and close to 66.
Provide detailed directions to your location
The office is located at 3541 Chain Bridge Road, Suite 1 and is easily accessible from Route 50 or I-66. We are at the corner of Chain Bridge Road and Eaton Place. We do not recommend on- line map directions – they take you to the wrong side of the street! The map below is correct. You need to turn onto Eaton Place and then into our parking lot. We are the second building (you will see #3541 on the building). Come through the courtyard in the middle, and we are the first door on the left. There is parking in front of our building.
Because we are conveniently located off I-66 we are easily accessible from Centreville, Chantilly, Vienna, Oakton, Annandale, Burke, Springfield, McLean, Herndon, Reston & Manassas.
We are close to George Mason University - located directly on the CUE Bus Green Line.
What type of payments do you accept?
One of our goals at Gentle Dental Care is to assist you in paying for necessary and cosmetic dentistry. We offer the convenience of payment by cash, check, VISA or MasterCard at the time of service. For our patients with insurance, we are happy to submit your claims for you, and when we receive payment, charge your credit/debit card for the balance. We are currently participating providers for Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield (Unicare, FEP Blue Dental, and GRID+), Delta Dental of Virginia Premier (Clear Choice, and other individual plans) and United Concordia (Assurant and Sun Life Financial). We also accept assignment of benefits for most PPO insurance plans. Please note there may be higher out-of-pocket cost to the patient with PPO plans (FEP Delta and AARP Delta are PPO plans).
